We caught up with gorgeous Amy Till from kiwi kidswear brand - Hello Stranger, to learn a little more about the super talented woman behind this awesome brand.

Tell us a little about the inspiration behind your brand & the latest collection.

Hello Stranger has always been inspired by our little strangers and now Hello Stranger will start to really focus and show our love of the ocean, starting with our Spring/Summer collection.  The new collection is a real reflection of the Hello Stranger family – made for kids & families that just want to be out their enjoying Sea, Sun & Salt, doing all the things they love.

The collection is true to our monochrome style with edgy prints and pops of colour throughout.  I really think this collection is the best yet, and you see the return of a firm favourite – the Mischief Maker Tee, version 2.0.

What is your favourite piece from the collection?

The Splash Tee Dress for the girls – this piece is sooooo cool for summer, with its fierce strawberry colour, splash print & scoop hemline, girls in this dress will definitely stand out in a crowd.  And for those long summer nights, its an easy piece to just pair with the Hello Leggings.

And for the boys it has to be the Wave Slouch Trackies & Muscle Tee.  This combo is so rad for summer, both have a comfy fit with extra length detail.  And you seriously can’t go wrong with a pair of black trackies for boys… I think any mum with a boy will agree with that!

Who inspires you style wise?

I really don’t think I have a style icon – day to day I am a very casual, on any given day you will probably catch me in jeans (im obsessed with ripped jeans), a singlet & tee, I love to layer.  And in summer a muscle tee, bikini & denim shorts is my go to outfit.  Where I do draw inspiration is by discovering new Instagram accounts, mainly lifestyle grams – and this tends to influence my lifestyle more & then in turn my style.  Accounts I have been digging for a while - @earthyandy @stylerunner @byholly @rawandfree

What are some of your favourite things to do?

Beach & travel to tropical places with the whole family in tow…. Need I say more.  Its where I can actually relax properly & usually involves eating lots of amazing food!

What item of food can you not live without?

Banana’s.  And lots of them.  I seriously can’t live without these.  Nearly 2 bunches a day is what our family uses, mostly consumed in our daily smoothie and smoothie bowls.

What is the one thing, most people don't know about you?

I trained as a Dolphin & Sea Lion trainer in Hawaii!

What are your 5 'can't live without' items for summer?

Bassike Layer Singlets & Five Each Tanks (

One Teaspoon Denim Shorts – a must (

Karen Walkers (

Manuka Dr Lip Enhancer (

Bon Bon Coffee Scrub (

Havaianas – I had to add this one in there but I think it is a give in for most
